Blue Streaks Dominate in Historic Shutout Victory

The Harrisonburg High School Blue Streaks softball team delivered an unforgettable performance on Monday, April 6, 2026, defeating Staunton High School in a commanding 22–0 shutout at home.

Leading the way was pitcher Delany Dayton, who achieved a major milestone by throwing her first career no-hitter. From the circle, Dayton dominated the game with confidence and precision, keeping Staunton from recording a single hit and anchoring a complete shutout performance.

The Blue Streaks backed her effort with explosive offense, consistently finding ways to score and build an insurmountable lead. The team’s energy, focus, and execution were evident from the first pitch to the final out.
